The speed limit on this stretch of road is 45 mph. Some think of it as a suggested minimum speed. The City of Miami Homicide investigators vehicle in the background is a hint that the driver of this motorcycle did not walk away. Yes, traffic going off of Key Biscayne has been awful and it seems that drivers take on a 'race' mentality. We did not witness what happened before this picture was taken yet it is self explanatory. The water truck, in the passing lane may have been watering the plants on the median or who knows besides the witnesses? Maybe the driver was just being a typical Miami driver and poking along at a snails pace in the passing lane. One thing is for certain and that is that the motorcycle hit the truck hard and that the truck bumper hit the rider hard. This is a very sad reality and unfortunately the second accident where there was a senseless loss of life on or around Key Biscayne in the last few days. The other involved a scooter running a red light in the middle of Key Biscayne in broad daylight. There was even a Police Officer yelling at him to stop.
They estimated he was doing about 120 MPH when he rear-ended
the Yellow Freight truck. The truck driver thought he had been rear-ended by
another truck.
NO DUES NOTE: If you choose to ride with us
all we ask is that you honor our No Drugs and
No
Alcohol policy. Safety is always the key. The roads and highways belong to
everyone who has a valid license and we know you have a right to ride anywhere
you like. For that reason we do not require you to sign anything. It is no
different than if we met you riding down the road and you chose to simply ride
along with us. Every rider accepts full responsibility for themselves based on
the laws of the land. We do not perform a Bible study on any of our rides
we all have churches for that but we do start every ride with a prayer for
protection and thanks. See you on the road riding the ride for the King of
Kings. It’s like the old saying "So many roads, so little time". We recognize that there is a whole lot of web pages out there and we appreciate you taking the time to stop and check us out. Be sure to check out the Links page for all the Rallies in the area. To find out more about us click here http://www.bikerornot.com/kingdomriders HELP
